Day Programs for Adults with Disabilities and Aging Adults The Adult Day programs provide individuals in need, an important alternative to premature nursing home placement for seniors and a workshop for young adults with autism. The Adult Day programs also provide an important respite for the working families of our clients. In the absence of Easter Seals Adult Day Center, families would face the decision to either leave employment to stay home and care for their loved one, place that parent in a nursing home prematurely or place a loved one in a day program that does not meet their needs. Easter Seals has a program for seniors in need and a new day program for young adults with Autism. We strive to provide a high quality service to the clients and families. Our staff work diligently to keep the client the center of the program while working on individual goals and needs. Easter Seals Adult Day Services offer programs and resources to help you provide the best possible care for your spouse, parent, adult child or another loved one who needs assistance with daily living. Visit our Easter Seals Adult Day Center located in Boardman and you will find a safe group environment with coordinated health and social services. Qualified, dedicated staff offer a continuation of high standards of care. Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana Counties has been named one of the eight "Centers of Excellence" in Easter Seals emerging adult day services network. Chosen for its demonstrated success in delivering high-quality, center-based adult day services, Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana Counties is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to the growing network base. Melissa M. Potts, BSN, the RN Program Coordinator for Outreach Services, was designated to receive additional training and support in order to serve as a "coach". In this capacity, Missy will look to improve the performance of the existing program and work with other Affiliate coaches with the start-up of new adult day service centers or the acquisition of existing centers. "As the baby boomer generation ages, the need for quality adult day services is growing exponentially," says James E. Williams, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer, Easter Seals. "By positioning the eight 'Centers of Excellence' as role models for other Easter Seals affiliates, we will increase our own standards of service and raise the bar of service standards throughout the adult day services industry." Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To learn more, contact us. |
