When you give to Easter Seals, 99 cents of every dollar donated stays in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties. Your financial gift helps Easter Seals create solutions that change the lives of people with disabilities and their families.  Your gift helps support specialized therapy services for a child with special needs getting ready to take their first steps. Your contribution can play an important role in supporting programs and services designed to promote greater independence for adults with Autism in our community.

Become a member of our Presidents Council Program by donating $1,000 annually.  Friends contributing at the Presidents Council level are making a vital difference by creating solutions that change lives.

Become a member of our Legacy Society

Membership requirements include the following: any donor who has established a gift annuity, charitable trust, or indicated that Easter Seals has been named in his or her will.  By becoming a member of this prestigious group, you will be providing a legacy that continues to support children and adults with disabilities now and in the future. The Gift of Giving - Securing Services for the Future

What is an Easter Seals donor?  An Easter Seals donor is an individual or business who is committed to the mission of Easter Seals with the kind of compassion and giving that allows Easter Seals to continue to serve children and adults with disabilities and special needs.

Why become an Easter Seals donor?  There are many reasons to give.  Many donors have personally benefited from Easter Seals programs and services and understand the need for giving. Others may choose to donate to reduce their taxes, or because their donation can make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. The best reason for giving is your donation will be extremely beneficial in helping Easter Seals plan programs to meet the needs of the community and secure services for future generations.

 What can I give?

• Gift of cash.  When you give to Easter Seals, almost 99 cents of every dollar is used to provide direct services for children and adults with disabilities. There is no easier way to give a charitable gift than by simply writing a check or donating online.
• Gifts of stock.  Giving a long-term appreciated stock provides a two-fold tax savings.  You avoid paying capital gains and you receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value as of the date of the gifting.
• Gifts of real estate.  The same with a gift of stock, you can avoid sizeable capital gains tax on appreciated property.  Real Estate gifts include a home, a vacation home, farm property or vacant land.
• Gift of life insurance.  If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer needed you can name the charity as the beneficiary.  If the policy has cash value, you can take a charitable deduction approximately equal to the cash value at the time of the gifting.
• Matching gifts - Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations -- sometimes matching 100 percent or more of your contribution.  If your employer offers a matching gift program, remember to follow your organizations matching gift process.
• “VIP” (Very Important Partners) Program - Our annual "VIP" Campaign is conducted entirely by a VIP volunteer team. The “VIP Team” recruit their friends, colleagues, business vendors, family members, and others to help them raise $2,000 or more by hosting their own “VIP” event. 

What will my gift to Easter Seals do?  Your gift will provide the following for the clients of Easter Seals:

• $250 will provide speech therapy services to a child who cannot hear his mother's voice or is unable to speak the words "I love you Mommy".  
• $500 will provide three weeks of occupational therapy to an adult who has suffered a stroke and can no longer dress themselves independently.
• $1,000 will provide six weeks of physical therapy in our SuitAbility program to a child with Cerebral Palsy so they can take their first steps.
• $2,500 will provide  six months of education for a preschooler with Autism so they can be prepared to enter kindergarten. 
• $5,000 will provide five days a week for six months, a safe and interactive environment in our adult day services program for an aging parent, while the family caregiver goes to work.
